If You Need Help

If you are a victim of abuse, protect yourself and your family. When you need help, don't wait. Break the cycle of violence now. If you are in danger, silence is your worst enemy.

The Family Center offers many programs and services to victims of all types of abuse. These programs include Victim Services, Children's Services, Hmong Services, Vulnerable Adult Services, Transitional Services, Sexual Assault Services, and Supervised Visitation Services. The Family Center also offers a Safe Pet Program for people coming into shelter that own a pet(s) and need to keep them safe.

Victim Services

Our victim service coordinator provides counseling, groups, and legal assistance. Counseling is provided on an individual basis to residents, walk-ins, and by appointment. Weekly support groups are also provided to help victims, of any type of abuse, build their self-esteem and enhance their coping skills. Legal advocacy assistance is available for people in need of restraining orders, during divorce or custody proceedings, and in criminal cases related to domestic violence. Judicare assistance is also provided. For more information on these services, contact Heather by using any of our contact methods.
