Domestic Violence Awareness Month

event is set for

5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 10 at

First Congregational Church 
311 Second St. S.

Wisconsin Rapids, WI 

Thank you to all who joined The Family Center to remember those who lost their lives due to domestic violence, including victims from Wisconsin Rapids, Wausau, Almond, and Abbotsford.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Special guest speaker: Jacalyn Race

In addition to remembering those Wisconsin residents who died due to domestic violence in 2018, community members, organizations, and businesses who showed outstanding support of The Family Center in 2018 were recognized.   

Receiving honors were:

Community Champion: Ronald Rasmussen, principal, Lincoln High School

Community Champion: Boys & Girls Club of the Wisconsin Rapids Area

Community Treasure: First Congregational Church-United Church of Christ

Law Enforcement Officer of the Year: Quentin Ellis, Wood County Sheriff's Department

Board Member of the Year: Rev. Cheryl Davis

Past Board Member of the Year: Brian Ruesch
