At this time, The Family Center will not accept any used clothing, homemade, or "leftover" prepared foods.
The Donation Center will be closed until further notice.
The Family Center will accept items of need (food, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, disinfectant sprays, etc.) at the main entrance. We do understand many of these items are in high demand and appreciate any donations. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Give a Monthly Gift
You can become a monthly sponsor and ensure The Family Center has steady, continuous support to provide services for individuals and families.
Sponsor a Family
You can provide food, shelter, counseling, social activities, and many other supports to meet the needs of a victim and/or their child while they are in the shelter.
A gift of:
$47 will provide one night of safe shelter for a victim or their child.
$136 will put food on the table for shelter residents for one month.
$491 provides support for older/vulnerable adult victims of abuse for one week.
Honor or remember a special person in your life by giving a gift in his/her name.
Create a Legacy
You do not have to be wealthy to make a significant gift. Through planned giving, you can create a legacy to help future generations.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, The Family Center is eligible to receive bequests. A bequest from a will or a trust distribution to The Family Center is fully deductible for federal estate tax purposes, regardless of the size of the bequest. Such a bequest would help you provide for the continuity of The Family Center’s work in the future. Contact us to find out more information at 715-421-1559.
The Family Center accepts all donations that are in working/good condition. We also do not accept items that are not clean, not in working order, or that have missing parts.
We reserve the right to refuse any items not meeting our guidelines. Please feel free to call if you have a question or email firstname.lastname@example.org about something you would like to donate.
Your donations serve three purposes:
Provides needed items within the shelter and for clients
helps defray operating costs, and
encourages community support for The Family Center and the people we serve
Please bring donations to The Family Center Donation Center, located at the south end of the building. Ring the bell, and a staff member will arrive to assist you.
The Family Center Donation Center is open
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (closed the Friday after Thanksgiving and Christmas day, Memorial Day and Fourth of July), and by appointment.
NEEDED: New (or slightly-used) vacuum cleaners. Call 715-421-1559 if you have one to donate.
NEEDED: Paper towels.
CURRENT NEEDS: Ramen noodles, dry soup mix, Hamburger Helper, spaghetti noodles, pasta sauce, canned fruits, tomato sauce, tomato paste, canned sloppy joe mix, canned pasta, canned chicken, boxes of dry cereal.
Cleaning Supplies: All-purpose cleaners (like Pine-Sol), dish soap, dishwasher detergent, disinfectant spray, disinfecting wipes, hand soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet bowl cleaner, dryer sheets.
Food items: Canned fruit, frozen meat, instant oatmeal, dry cereal, pancake mix, pancake syrup, ketchup, jelly, instant potatoes.
Furniture: Due to limited storage space, if you have furniture items you would like to donate, we ask you to please call ahead (715-421-1559). Thank you.
Kitchen supplies: Coffee pots, toasters, pots and pans, bakeware, silverware sets, dish sets.
Household Supplies: Batteries (AA), zipper-lock bags, garbage bags (13 and 30 gal.), toilet paper, shower liners, toilet bowl cleaner, Lysol spray, general cleaning supplies
Linens: Sheets (twin and queen), comforters, towels.
Personal care: Deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, large-size shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. (We do not need hotel-size items.)
Office Supplies: Address labels, copy paper (8.5 x 11), envelopes (size 9 and 10), highlighters, legal pads, Post-It notes.
Clothing: At this time, we are only accepting new clothing. Please call with questions.
