Shining a light on solar energy
The Family Center is thrilled to announce its journey into solar power has begun.
One of the key benefits of installing solar panels is the cost savings associated with generating local energy. As a non-profit organization, reducing operating expenses is critical to focusing on the mission of providing essential services to the community. By using solar power, energy bills can be reduced, and those savings allocated towards the needs of The Family Center and its clients.
Solar for Good: First panel sponsor
The Family Center is one of 16 Wisconsin non-profits to receive a "Solar For Good" grant from Renew Wisconsin.
The Solar for Good program is in its 12th round of grant funding. Since the program’s inception in 2017, it has awarded grants to over 185 organizations to go solar, leading to over $12.2 million of clean energy investments in the state of Wisconsin and the eventual installation of over 8.5 megawatts of solar.
